Torispherical Dished Head
Torispherical Dished Head is also called torispherical dish end or torispherical ends. The Torispherical Dished Head consists of a spherical surface, a cylindrical edge of a certain height, and a transition section connecting the above two parts with a radius of curvature smaller than the radius of the sphere. Spherical head advantages is same with spherical vessel, with good stress state, it only needs 1/2 wall thickness of cylinder, spherical head is mostly used in high pressure vessels, such as urea synthetic tower,CO2 stripper,etc.
For the medium and low tension pressure vessels, for convenient welding, also consider the deduction during head forming process, normally the head and cylinder adopts the same thickness.
